Q: WHO CAN USE YOUR SERVICE?
A:
Legitimate and verifiable businesses with legitimate purposes can use our services. This includes but is not limited to Pre-Employment Screeners, Attorney Services, Tennant Screening Services, Human Resource Departments, Investigators and insurance providers. To ensure that a company is legitimate and has a legitimate need to access this information, a completed Customer Profile and Service Agreement are required. Additionally, if your company wishes to be invoiced, we will verify that your company has a good and responsible credit history before credit is extended.
Q: WHEN CAN I BEGIN TO USE YOUR SERVICES?
A:
Complete our client Profile and Service Agreement or like document from your company, and you may begin to use our services after we have verified your company’s background, usually within 24 hours.
Q: WHAT METHOD OF PAYMENT DO YOUR ACCEPT?
A:
We accept payment via check, credit card, debit card and ACH (monthly bank account debit). We also offer pre-paid account services.
Q: DO YOU OFFER CREDIT TERMS?
A:
Yes, upon approval. Companies with favorable credit ratings may be considered for credit that is secured with a credit card or deposit. Credit terms are net 20 and invoices are sent twice a month. Because we pay for the cost of conducting your search requests upfront, if payment is not received by the due date, your credit card or deposit will be used. We also accept payment by credit, debit and ACH for your convenience
Q: HOW OFTEN DO YOU SEND OUT INVOICES?
A:
We send out invoices twice a month, and on occasion we bill per project. Upon special request, certain companies with favorable credit histories may be billed once a month with net 20 or 30 terms.
Q: WHAT IS THE TURNAROUND TIME FOR MOST SEARCHES?
A:
The turnaround time for criminal based searches is usually less than 24 hours for most “Clear” results and 24-48 hours for record information. Results for all other types of searches are typically available within 48-72 hours. Please note: some searches take longer than the stated turnaround time due to file unavailability, number of records found, court closure or court computer down time among other factors beyond our control
Q: WHAT ARE YOUR REPORT DELIVERY METHODS?

We receive requests and send results via our online system (or yours), fax, email and mail.
Q: DO YOU HAVE A QUALITY CONTROL PROGRAM IN PLACE TO ENSURE RESULT INTEGRITY?

Q: WHO PERFORMS SEARCHES AND WHAT ARE THEIR QUALIFICATIONS?

We employ a small staff of researchers to conduct searches. Our researchers’ are carefully screened and trained. Most of our researchers have experience in background investigations or the court system.
Q: HOW MANY CRIMINAL COURTS ARE THERE IN SAN DIEGO AND DO YOUR RESULTS INCLUDE ALL OF THE COURTS?

There are four criminal courts in San Diego County: South Bay, El Cajon, Vista, and Central. Unless specifically asked not to, we conduct countywide searches which include cases from all the criminal courts within the specified time frame.
Q: HOW FAR BACK DO YOU SEARCH?
A:
Generally, we conduct seven or ten year searches from the date of filing unless otherwise requested. We also conduct extended court searches upon request. For more information, please contact our office.
Q: ARE THERE COURT IMPOSED COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH CONDUCTING SEARCHES IN SAN DIEGO?
A:
Currently there are no court imposed fees associated with conducting searches in San Diego; however this is subject to change without notice.

Q: DO YOU CONDUCT CIVIL SEARCHES AND HOW DO YOU VERIFY ID INFORMATION?

Yes, we conduct civil searches. Civil cases are verified by name only.
Q: DO YOU REPORT TRAFFIC RELATED CASES?
A:
We report traffic cases if they are charged as a Felony or Misdemeanor case.
Q: DO YOU REPORT INFRACTION INFORMATION?
A:
We report infraction information only if requested.
Q: WHEN SEVERAL CASES ARE FOUND FOR A REQUEST, TYPICALLY HOW MANY WILL YOU RETURN?
A:
Typically, we report the 5-10 most recent and/or serious cases. We note on the results how many more cases exist for a request and give you the option of having the other cases pulled for an additional fee.
Q: WHEN A CRIMINAL SEARCH IS REQUESTED, DO YOU SEARCH FOR BOTH FELONY AND MISDEMEANOR CASES?

Yes, we search for both Felony and Misdemeanor cases unless otherwise requested.
Q: DO YOU SEARCH FOR BOTH CIVIL UPPER AND CIVIL LOWER CASES WHEN A CIVIL REQUEST IS MADE?
A:
We consider civil upper and civil lower requests to be two separate searches. If requested, both searches can be conducted within one search, and will be therefore billed accordingly.

No, the fees you are quoted do NOT include copy cost, certification fees or any other fees imposed by the state or governmental agency.

If you occasionally order rush service, we will not charge for that service. If however you need all your orders to be rushed, there will be a surcharge imposed.
Q: WHY DO I NEED TO PROVIDE A DOB OR MIDDLE NAME?
A:
Since all names are run through the court clerks a DOB is needed to have the name processed. A middle name or initial helps to narrow the search and therefore provide accurate results.
