About Us Information Source and Quality Assurance Programs

Quality Assurance Programs

Quality and Integrity is Our Priority.

Researcher Integrity Helps Ensure Quality of Information.
No matter how fast you get the information back, it is useful only if it is accurate and complete. At File Finders we have created a quality assurance program that ensures information returned to the end user is as accurate, complete, clear and concise as possible. It all begins with researchers that have been carefully screened, selected and trained to obtain information and conduct research. To ensure that each and everyone one of our researchers are meeting our standards of excellence, we regularly audit and test them with seeded hits as well as conduct “impromptu” court visits to ensure they are following established guidelines and procedures with regards to conducting searches. This process allows us to test the quality of information our research specialists provide and the turnaround time in which they provide it.

Results Integrity Program

Our results integrity program further ensures that we return the most accurate information available. The results integrity program begins with analyzing all submitted requests to ensure that they appear to be spelled correctly and in proper order before we begin the research process. Secondly, a duplicate match search is conducted via our program to helps us catch previously reported hits. This helps ensure consistent reporting of information.

Our researchers have been trained to re-verify file or clerk given information as they conduct the search to minimize any errors or inconsistencies when reporting information. If physical file inspection is requested, only our most seasoned and experienced researchers are assigned this task. Finally, the information is filtered through a stringent quality review process where our highly trained and experience staff re-verifies the data for integrity and narrative competency. If the information does not meet our standards, it is rejected and the researcher is contacted immediately to conduct a reinvestigation. Our QA process saves you time and money by ensuring all results are correct and complete before you receive them. Our strict attention to detail ensures that your organization will always have the most complete and accurate data available.

Informtaion source disclosure for San Diego and Orange Counties

SAN DIEGO- In San Diego, case information is secured by two different sources; the court’s computer via a clerk or the actual case file. Computer Information: Court or Agency computer information is the most cost effective information to receive. Computer information is given to the researcher by a clerk; so no physical file inspection is required. This information is a summary of the pertinent issues involving a file. Often computer information lacks the specific details surrounding a case such as charge type or every modification involved. However, computer information is usually up to date and offers complete information for employment screening, tenant screening and general investigative purposes. Computer information is FCRA compliant.

File Information:
File information is a detailed accounting of events pertaining to a case that is extrapolated from court minutes or other documents. File information must be abstracted in person at the court that houses the case file. The labor and time involved in locating the file and conducting the research to extrapolate the requested information makes file information more expensive to obtain. Not all case file will be available for review. After a certain amount of time (7-10 years on average), some case files are destroyed. In that case, only computer information may be available.

We offer both types of information retrieval services. Our basic search includes clerk supplied computer information for all hits, however upon request, we will gladly pull files at an additional cost. To accommodate those companies that require file information only, we offer a special program. Based on volume, you can pay a predetermined fee for “clear” results and a “per case fee” for file information when there are hits. We also offer a program where you pay slightly more per name for all of your requests and with that you will get file information for all your hits when the file is available.

ORANGE COUNTY- In Orange County, case information is secured via the court’s three different computer systems or the actual case file.
Computer Information:
Court computer information is the most cost effective information to receive. Each and every name is run through the court’s three different indexes to ensure a complete and thorough search. This information is a summary of the pertinent issues involving a file. Computer information is usually up to date and offers complete information for employment screening, tenant screening and general investigative purposes. Computer information is FCRA compliant.
